Megan Marie Ward plays the role of Kate Howard
on the ABC Soap Opera, General Hospital.
Megan Marie Ward was born September 24, 1969 in Los Angeles,
California. Her parents were both professional actors
and drama coaches.
After their family moved to Hawaii, Megan was 9 years old
when she began doing commercials.
As a teenager she went to Japan for modeling jobs,
then got a job working for a Japanese TV Show.
After high school graduation, Megan moved to
Los Angeles where she got roles in science fiction
and comedy movies.
She auditioned for a role in General Hospital and
was awarded a long term contract.
In 1995 Megan married Michael Shore. They have one
child born in 2001.
