Maxie Jones


Maria Maximilian (Maxie) Jones, the daughter of Frisco
and Felicia Jones was born on Halloween night in 1990.


In 1994 Maxie developed Kawasaki disease and required
a heart transplant. Her cousin Barbara Jean "BJ" Jones
was killed when her school van was hit by a drunk driver.
BJ was declared brain dead, but her heart was
transplanted into Maxie.


Frisco wasn't the "father" type and had little to
do with raising Maxie and her sister Georgie. Felicia
became involved with Mac Scorpio who raised Maxie
and Georgie as his own, even keeping them with him
when Felicia moved out.


Maxie's Love Affairs

Maxie's first crush was on Lucky Spencer, but he didn't
return her feelings and she was crushed. To get close
to Lucky, she asked him to be her tutor. She even went
as far as getting birth control pills and sneaked into
Lucky's room. He gently told her he only thought of
her as a friend.

After she gave up on Lucky, Maxie had crushes on
Nikolas Cassadine, Zander Smith, and Kyle Ratcliffe.
Kyle was much older than Maxie and when she and
Georgie took a job as candy stripers at General Hospital,
Kyle got Maxie to steal pills for him. She got caught
and promised Mac she would stay away from Kyle, but
it didn't happen.

Maxie's first making love encounter was with Kyle who flattened
Maxie when he taped them making love, showing it on a
web cam for everyone to watch.


Maxie's first true love was with Jesse Beaudry, who
was a cop on the PCPD. When Jesse got framed for
something he didn't do, Maxie felt sorry for him
and hid him from the police. They went on the run
together where Maxie and Jesse came to be lovers.
Mac again didn't approve of Jesse, but Maxie was
her own person and continued to see him.

Lucky and Jesse were partners on the force trying to
thwart the reign of terror Manny Ruiz was inflicting
on Port Charles. Jesse was shot in front of Maxie when
he was shot dead by Manny.

When Lucky was around to help console Maxie, her old
interests started to flame up and she began plotting
to get Lucky back in her grips. Lucky had developed
an addiction to hydrocodeine after suffering a serious
back injury when he and Manny fought.

Maxie was ever so helpful in stealing pills from
General Hospital for him, then in scoring pills from
a drug dealer.

Maxie believed that Lucky really loved her, but he was
only using her for the pills. They slept together, even
though at the time, Lucky was married to Elizabeth
Webber Spencer, even though he promised Maxie he
would leave Elizabeth for her.

When Lucky finally told her he'd lied, Maxie faked
a suicide attempt. While in the hospital recovering,
Maxie decided to fake a pregnancy to try and keep
Lucky in her life.

She attempted to sleep with Diego Alcazar in order to
really become pregnant, but Diego say through her
scam and wouldn't go through with it.

Lucky did respond by telling Maxie he would be the
father of her child, but he was going to stay married
to Elizabeth. Maxie then faked a miscarriage when
she fell down a flight of stairs at Kelly's restaurant.

Later Elizabeth searching through hospital records
discovered that Maxie wasn't really pregnant and was
only using this as a ploy to keep Lucky around.


Maxie then got a job as a fashion consultant at the
Metro Court. Shortly thereafter, James Craig and
his band of mercenaries held Maxie and other Port
Charles hostage in the Metro Court hostage crisis.

Maxie was locked in the hotel's vault with one of
the mercenaries, number "Three". During the time in
the vault, Three and Maxie grew close to each other.
When Craig blew up the lobby of the Metro Court,
Maxie covered for Three telling the cops he was an
innocent bystander.

After the crisis was over, Maxie took Three back
to her apartment and hid him out, learning his name was
Cooper Barrett, an Iraq war veteran who began working
for Craig because he needed the money to support his
girlfriend back home.

Cooper was very grateful to Maxie for hiding him from
the cops. Maxie and Cooper grew even closer eventually
having making love. Maxie got Cooper a job as a security guard
at the Metro Court.

Max, Sonny Corinthos right hand man was head of security
at the Metro Court during this time and finally figured
out who Cooper really was. When Sonny found out, he
called Cooper in and told him that Cooper would now
be working for him as a mole in the PCPD, or else Sonny
would eliminate him from the planet.

Cooper saw the wisdom in saving his own live, so when
he told Maxie he wanted to become a police cadet,
Maxie was against it, but she stole the answers to
the police academy exam for Cooper.

When Ric Lansing the acting DA saw the test results,
he was very impressed as Cooper had scored higher than
anyone ever had on the test and immediately hired
Cooper on to the Port Charles police force.


Cooper befriended LuLu Spencer whom Maxie hated with
a passion. Whenever Maxie would see them together, she
would become insanely jealous.

An old war buddy of Cooper's came t Port Charles,
Logan Hayes. Logan became very interested in LuLu and
when Maxie saw this she devised a plan to destroy
LuLu by urging Logan to sleep with LuLu and if
he did, Maxie would then sleep with Logan as a reward.

Logan finally scored with LuLu while Maxie was watching
in a closet. When LuLu found out that Logan had
betrayed her, she was livid with rage. Maxie got
her revenge on LuLu, but it left her feeling empty
inside.

While Maxie loved Cooper, she still in a moment of heated
passion slept with Logan. Cooper finally realized the
self destructive behavior Maxie had that she had
warned him about, and broke up with her.

Maxie never did get over Cooper and when Mac finally
agreed to let Maxie have her heart's desire, he allowed
her to invite Cooper over for Thanksgiving dinner in
2007, where she and Cooper agreed to give their
relationship another try.
