Mary Stein was born in Marquette, Michigan, but
grew up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Her acting was inspired by Maggie Smith, a British actress.
Mary also gives credit to her grandfather for
motivating her to become an actress. Her grandfather
preformed vaudeville in the early days.
Mary had the lead role in a play when she was only
5 years old and had many stage appearances growing
up and during high school.
After graduating from Marquette University she
furthered her acting career by going to the
Juilliard School in New York City.
Mary had various roles in theater before she went
to Hollywood to explore a television acting career.
She guest starred on Star Trek: Next Generation and
Murphy Brown.
Mary was in hundreds of television commercials,
everything from Pop Tarts to Circuit City.
Mary's feature film break came with the role of
'Angela' in the 1996 hit Man of the Year.
Mary Stein plays Miss Iris Sneed on General Hospital
as a member of the financial department at General Hospital.
Mary is also a a healer and coaches athletes, actors,
and high achievers in realizing their dreams.
Among the healing modalities she uses are nutrition,
hypnotherapy, and the Epfx Scio Biofeedback.
