Jerry Jacks

Jerry Jacks first came to General Hospital in 1998
to meet his brother Jaxs' fiancee, Brenda Barrett. In
the first time on the show, Jerry and Jaxs are found
to be in a fist fight, their way of solving problems.

Jerry and Jaxs grew up in Australia, they later moved to
Alaska. Jerry's mother, Lady Jane is still alive, but
his father John is deceased.


When the FBI found out that the company owned by Jerry,
Jaxs and their father (J and J Jacks of Alaska) had been
started with drug money, they lost the company. Jaxs managed
to save Jerry from a jail sentence.


After coming back to Port Charles, Jerry became involved
with nurse Bobbie Spencer falling in love with her. They
planned on being married.

Jerry lied to Bobbie about his criminal activities but
Sonny Corinthos and Jason Morgan found out about his
laundering money for crime boss Moreno and ratted on him.
Jerry was arrested in the middle of his wedding by the
FBI.

Jaxs got him out on bail and Jerry asked Bobbie to
run away with him, but she refused. Sonny and Jaxs worked
to save Jerry by helping him escape town.

Jerry didn't surface in Port Charles until years later.


The Metro Court Hostage Crisis

In February of 2007 a stranger appeared nosing around Port
Charles with the alias of James Craig.

At that time Lorenzo Alcazar had a top secret mission
going on which required him to hide a certain briefcase
filled with vital information in the safe of the
Metro Court.

Craig's mission was to obtain the briefcase at any cost.
Craig and his band of mercenaries entered the lobby of
the Metro Court, holding many of the residents of
Port Charles hostage. Craig intended to only hold
the hostages until he could obtain the briefcase, then
escape with one hostage.

His planned failed when Sam McCall, who was working at the
desk, sounded the silent alarm, which also shut the doors
on the hotel's safe thus preventing Craig from getting
the briefcase.

The safe was thus locked for a 12 hour period during which
Craig and his band tormented the hostages. Craig deliberately
shot Dr. Robin Scorpio just to show everyone he was serious.
Then he forced Carly Corinthos and Emily Quartermaine to
try and save Robin's life with the help of Dr. Patrick Drake,
who was giving instructions on how to remove the bullet
from a cell phone.

Dr. Allan Quartermaine was suffering from a heart condition
which he left untreated then when he finally did let
Alan go outside, Allan suffered an almost fatal heart
attack.

The police surrounded the place but Craig kept his cool
not allowing anyone to panic. Working on his own, Jason
entered the hotel with the help of Damian Spinelli who
hacked into the hotel's security system and was able to
open a side door.

Craig had rigged the hotel lobby with explosives in case
any of the hostages got out of hand. Jason overcame one
of the mercenaries and dressed up in his clothes, but he
had to bide his time for the right moment before he could
go after Craig. When Jason got his chance and took a shot
at Craig, he wounded him, but Craig hit the detonator
and blew up the lobby.

In the meantime, Sam managed to escape and warned the
police about the explosives. After the explosion, Craig
escaped.

Soon after, James Craig appeared at Wyndemere Castle
where he drugged and poisoned Nikolas Cassadine. Craig
wanted Nikolas to set him up with a complete new identity
and forced him to do so because the poison required a
counter agent be injected every 12 hours or else Nikolas
would die.

Craig now going under the alias of James Brosnan, also
forced Nikolas to break up with Emily and Robin to
break her relationship off with Patrick when she
moved in with Nikolas.

Brosnan during this time had several meetings with
Nikolas' aunt, Alexis Davis who not having a clue who
he really was, started to become enamored with him
and even took Brosnan on as one of her law clients.

When Jasper Jacks and Carly were to be married, Lady Jane,
Jack's mother kept calling her other son, Jerry to
attend the wedding. Through this it was revealed
that James Craig, alias James Brosnan, was really the
brother of Jasper Jacks, Jerry Jacks.

When Jerry did show up at the wedding albeit hiding
outside, Lady Jane found him and despite his plastic
surgery to change his face, she recognized him as her son
Jerry.

Jerry paid a visit to Carly's house to see Lady Jane
and found his mother there baby sitting Carly's children
Michael and Morgan. He introduced himself to the boys
as Jax's brother Jerry.

Later when Ric brought a picture of James Craig to
Carly, the boys identified the man in the picture as
Jerry Jacks.

Carly hated to have Jerry hanging around since she was
one of his hostages at the Metro Court. Jerry kept trying
to convince her that he would not harm the boys or
her and only wanted the best for his brother's marriage.

Finally Jerry told Carly about how he became a deranged
man telling her that he was deeply in love with one woman
Irina whom he was forced to betray then watch as she
was brutally murdered.

When Jaxs found out who Jerry really was he couldn't believe
that his brother could be such an awful man and kept
defending Jerry's actions to Carly who was outraged
that Jaxs could stick up for Jerry.

Wanted by the cops for the Metro Court crisis, Craig
walked in to the hotel lobby and forced everyone to
tell the cops that he was really Jax's brother who just
happened to look exactly like Craig.

When Ric Lansing the DA wanted to do a DNA test, Jerry
agreed, but with the help of one of his mercenaries,
Cooper Barrett (No. 3) who was now on the police force
rigged the test to prove he wasn't Craig.

Later that summer, Irina surfaced and was able to capture
Jaxs holding him hostage as bait for the return of Jerry
whom she planned on killing for betraying her.

When Jerry went looking for Jaxs, Carly would hear of
nothing else than tagging along. After Irnia slept with
Jaxs to make Carly jealous, she called Carly to tell
her of her deeds.

Carly and Jerry arrived on the ship where Jaxs was being
held hostage. Irina found them together and held them
at gunpoint. Jerry managed to convince Irina that they
could still be lovers and in a moment of passion, Irina
let down her guard and Jerry shot her at point blank
range murdering her in cold blood so Carly and Jaxs
could escape.

Jaxs finally saw what a ruthless man his brother had
turned in to and vowed to have nothing to do with Jerry.
Which didn't last long.

When Anthony Zacchara a deranged mob boss from New York
City terrorized the Black and White Ball at Wyndemere,
Jerry and Jaxs worked together to try and save many of
the ball participants including Alexis Davis who was
suffering from a ruptured appendicts.


Jerry has made several attempts at starting a relationship
with Alexis who thinks she would like to be with him, but
is leery because of her past failures and because of
Jerry's past crimes.

Jerry currently resides at the Metro Court where his
brother and Carly provide him an apartment.

On General Hospital, Gerard Alysius Jacks (Jerry) was
originally played in 1998 by Julian Stone. When Jerry
came back to General Hospital in early 2007, (January 09)
he has since been played by Sebastian Roche.
